Program Overview

Ayurveda as Yoga’s sister science is the optimum teaching for living a balanced life. It aims at integrating the individual being into a harmonious relationship with nature through a practical and common sense methods that appeal to all, regardless of age, culture, body size-shape or religion. Its power to heal is garnered through a collective number of principles that are designed to align us with nature’s laws. Each of the five gatherings will focus on different themes that have become an essential and relevant trend for health and wellness today.  These collectives provide a threefold experience that includes wisdom teachings, practicum and powerful collective healing circles to circulate dialogue, provide support and promote evolutionary living.

 Yogi, mystic, and practitioner of Ayurveda, Mas has become one of the most influential yoga and Ayurveda teachers in the world and offers unique certification training programs throughout the USA, Asia, and India. Mas enjoys teaching integral yoga classes, offering health and wellness lectures and giving workshops that embrace core Ayurvedic principles.
His work is primarily influenced by the lineage-based traditions of India, with prominence to the teachings of Yogananda and Sivananda. In 2014 he appeared in the triumphant film “Awake, The Life Of Yogananda” and as an Ayurvedic practitioner, he maintains an active international counseling practice that includes yoga and Vedic astrology. He is the founder/director of Dancing Shiva Yoga Ayurveda, an international non-profit educational organization and center based in Southern California.
Under Mas Vidal’s direction DSYA has been recognized internationally for developing a strong balance between the mind-body relationship and the spiritual principles emphasized in both yoga and ayurveda. Mas Vidal strongly encourages education in a practical sense and as a way of life in his dynamic yoga classes (see schedule). The center is aligned with various notable institutions of health and wellness, spirituality and higher learning throughout the United States, Europe and India and maintains interaction in the areas of consulting, research and providing educational materials.

50-hour Course Schedule:

June 16th – Natures Wisdom – Introduction to the core principle that supports healing the mind-body relationship. Creating a pathway to enhancing your personal healing journey, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

July 21st – Who Am I? Understanding your signature Mind-Body Type according to Ayurveda, Jyotish (vedic astrology) and the philosophy of Yoga.

Aug 11th – Diet, Spices and Yogic Super Foods begins with the wisdom of natures laws, the six tastes, foods to balance the doshas, the recipe’s making spice nice in your life, seasonal and locally sourced eating and foods for the ageless body.

Sept 8th – Women’s Health, Beauty & Wellness – Ayurveda provides a multitude of practical health techniques for promotion of balanced menses, fertility, postpartum restoration, skin care and proper digestion and hormone therapy.

Oct 13th – Ayurveda & Yoga – These two sister sciences when practiced together provide the most comprehensive approach to spiritual evolution. Teachings and practices include postural dosha yoga, yoga therapy, the sacred breath techniques, relaxation and restoration, devotion and meditation.
