You Have a Yoga Business: Learn How to Foster Growth

A workshop for yoga teachers and trainees

Most of us in the yoga world function as entrepreneurs – meaning, we need to know how to talk about what we offer, and generate opportunities and income. We work hard to get certified, but we don’t always receive business mentoring to set us up for success.

Even if we want our work to focus on hands on, in person teaching, we know the web plays a role in how we connect with and nurture our students.

In this introductory business workshop, you’ll get clear on the following:

  • Who you want to teach and why
  • How to reach your specific audience
  • How to start cultivating an online presence
  • Why capturing an email is more important than social media followers
  • How to venture into offering online programs

Workshop Info

About Cheri

Cheri Dostal Ryba is Co-Director of our Yoga Therapist Training. She is a Yoga Therapist Specializing in Musculoskeletal Ailments, and a Franklin Method Movement Educator. Cheri has been teaching movement and embodiment for 15 years.

Cheri started practicing Yoga as a dance student, and completed her B.A. Dance Degree. She then trained in New Zealand with Donna Farhi’s Advanced Yoga Teacher Training program. After a decade in the fitness industry as a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM, Cheri turned her training and energy toward more therapeutic outcomes through embodiment. Yoga, meditation and running helped her navigate personal trauma and rebuild her immune function, hope and resilience. Cheri deeply believes in the power of embodied movement practice.

Anatomy is often at the core of her lessons, giving students what Cheri playfully calls ‘x-ray vision’. She blends yoga, dance, developmental movement patterns, The Franklin Method, restorative yoga and fitness education. As a Movement and Yoga Therapist, she’s helped people with chronic pain, sacroiliac joint and pelvic, neck and back injuries, mental health/anxiety and to improve digestive health. Cheri’s contagious enthusiasm inspires you to reconnect with the joy of movement.
