Proprioception and Use of Ethical Touch
This workshop is for yoga teachers with a current RYT-200 certification.
The intention of this workshop is to cultivate a complete understanding of the techniques for adjusting through lots of repetition with adjusting and receiving adjustments in each pose, as well as experiencing and discussing each asana and adjustment. This workshop is highly suggested for yoga teachers and yoga teacher trainees who want to enhance their relationship with their students through adjustments and assists. We will focus on the 5 types of adjustments with attention on hands-on adjustments and energetic assists. The adjustments will be demonstrated and practiced from a selected list of poses from different categories (standing, hip-opening etc), in which each participant will learn how to adjust in several ways to create the energetic quality desired in the posture. Participants will practice in groups of 2-3, rotating between observing, receiving and giving the adjustment. We will switch groups periodically to have the opportunity to adjust/assist everyone in the workshop reflecting the variety of body types, shapes and levels.
Please call the studio to pre-register (714) 417-9834. If trainees are enrolling in our entire 300hr Yoga Teacher Training Program, they will receive pre-registration pricing. We ask that trainees pre-register at least 3 days before the course to ensure we have enough trainees to run each course.
