10/30 The Chemical-Free Home
October 30 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm$25
How safe are your favorite products?
Have you ever really thought about what you are putting on your skin? The skin is the largest organ of the body, and whatever we choose to put on our bodies will end up in our bodies! Thankfully there are many resources for cleaner, organic foods, but how many cosmetic, cleaning, or other household products do you know of that are truly free of toxins? Before attending this workshop, download The Think Dirty App or check The Environmental Working Group’s website resource to research the products you are currently using. You might be surprised by what you find!
So, what can we do instead? Thankfully, everything we need to create effective, toxin-free products to put on our bodies and to deeply clean our homes has already been provided by our beautiful planet! Essential oils are the living fluid inside the plant that acts as their immune system, protecting them against inclement weather and harsh conditions. These plant fluids are the regenerating, oxygenating, and immune-strengthening properties of plants. When these fluids are distilled and extracted using a highly regulated, low-heat, slow-steam process and then used topically, aromatically or internally, they have powerful cleaning abilities and numerous health benefits.
In this class we will:
- Discuss high quality essential oils
- Determine sustainable upgrades you can make to your bathroom and kitchen products
- DIY a few products together using simple recipes!
Every attendee will go home with several recipes and a new body product the he or she could easily replicate at home!
- $25 pre-registration/$30 day of event
- Monday, October 30th
- 7:00 – 8:30 pm
