Why Yoga Works and How it Can Work for You Workshop + Book Launch

Robert Birnberg has been studying Yoga for over 40 years and is on faculty in our Yoga Therapist Training Program.
He will be leading a very special workshop where he will share powerful insights on Yoga’s rich history and underlying philosophy, as well as effective guidelines for practicing this timeless healing art, as outlined in his first book.
This workshop is appropriate for students of all levels. Specialty book pricing for students who also attend workshop led by Author Robert Birnberg.

Part One of the text explores Yoga’s holistic models which are based on the connection between the body, breath, mind and spirit. It discusses Yoga’s roots in these ancient wisdom teachings and explains the time-tested strategies for reducing suffering, creating optimal health and cultivating satisfying relationships.

Part Two delves into the science of sequencing, conscious breathing as well as the purposes, techniques and benefits of meditation. It also offers practices with step-by-step instructions utilizing a wide range of Yoga’s transformational tools.

About Robert

robertRobert Birnberg has been a student of the Yoga Sutras for over four decades. For the past twenty years, he has studied this brilliant work with teachers in the lineage of T.Krishnamacharya, the father of modern Yoga. He is one of a handful of people personally certified by Krishnamacharya’s son, T.K.V. Desikachar to train teachers. Robert is dedicated to mining the Sutra’s timeless truths for common sense life-skills, leading to increased optimism, better health, more satisfying relationships, and measurably enhanced wellbeing. He teaches private, therapeutic Yoga, trains teachers in the U.S and abroad and is on the faculty of the Loyola Marymount Yoga Therapy Program. Robert is also a certified Positive Psychology Coach, allowing him to effectively combine Yoga’s tools with proven Positive Psychology interventions.
