Foundations of Pranayama for Yoga Therapy

April 7-8th, 2018

This 11.75 hour class is led by Yoga Therapist Juris Zinbergs. This intensive lays down the foundation for trainees in all levels of our programming to gain a correct and thorough understanding of the energetic body, as well as tools and practices to work with this layer. Trainees will learn the proper techniques of various pranayama practices that range from the most basic to the most advanced; as well as the discernment of how to correctly apply such practices.

Pranayama is more subtle than asana and a person’s respiratory pattern and energy levels provides us with a lot of information about their current health status. During this intensive, trainees will gain tools and models to assess the energetic body, identify areas that may be out of balance and provide customize pranayama practices to balance the pranamaya kosha.
