Reiki: a practice from Japan that works on the energetic body
It involves hands on touch to balance Ki or life force energy, to strengthen the body’s ability to heal on all levels.

Balancing The Energetic Body
Did you know that Reiki is recognized as a complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), by the National Institute of Health (NIH) under the National Cancer Institute (NCI)? A CAM therapy by definition is used alongside of conventional medicine and not in place of it, thereby enhancing and supporting medical treatments.
Japanese healing practice developed by Dr. Mikao Usui (1865-1926). Reiki’s roots trace back 2500 years. Reiki is not a religion, but does have a spiritual foundation in supporting one to achieve harmony and balance for their highest good.
Reiki is all loving, all knowing, and does no harm. Involves hands on touch, Ki or life force energy, to strengthen the body’s ability to heal on all levels physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Reiki elicits the relaxation response of the body, creating a cascade of peacefulness and calmness.
How is Reiki Performed?
During a Reiki session you lay comfortably on a massage table fully clothed, listening to tranquil music as the Reiki practitioner places their hands in a sequence of hand positions from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet.

In addition, Alexandra also works with clients one-on-one.
