The hormonal changes that occur with premenstrual syndrome, peri-menopause and menopause can be a challenging and tumultuous time of change. Anxiety, insomnia, irritability, hot flashes, night sweats, weight gain,
poor focus and concentration, fatigue and irregular periods are just a handful of symptoms that may be experienced during these hormonal shifts. Treatments are generally focused on addressing the female hormone imbalances associated with PMS, peri-menopause and menopause, however the adrenal glands and thyroid glands play an important role in comprehensive female hormone balance. The adrenal, thyroid and ovarian endocrine systems form close, integrated relationships. When one system is out of balance the others follow leading to adrenal fatigue, hypothyroidism and estrogen dominance. Learn natural ways to support adrenal and thyroid function to balance your female hormones naturally with Naturopathic Medicine and Chinese Medicine. Dr. Suzanne Tang, ND, LAc will discuss nutrients and herbs to support adrenal and thyroid function and balance female hormones.
