Alison Cardenas
E-RYT® 500, YACEP® and now Yoga Therapist Trainee. Alison has been practicing yoga for over 25 years, teaching yoga for over a decade, and has lead international yoga retreats all around the world. She is passionate about movement, exploration, and wellness; both physically and mentally and truly believes that yoga is a systematic approach to life, not just shapes on the mat. Alison co-facilitates both the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, the 300- Hour Yoga Teacher Training, and leads the Aerial Yoga Teacher Training Program at Joya Yoga, a chain of 4 studios in the Bay Area, California. When not teaching yoga, you can find Alison outside on her bicycle or scuba diving, reading her book, or spending time with her family and friends… hopefully outside too!
Jessica McLin
After completing RYT – 200 hour training with Cloud 9 Yoga and Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training with MaYoga, she turned her focus to her growing family and multiple cross country moves. Now settled back in SoCal, and ready to experience and share more joy, she is in the process of completing her RYT – 300 and her Yoga Therapy training, at the same time! When she’s not immersing herself in the beautiful world of yoga and having adventures with her kids (that includes just getting out the door in the morning sometimes!), she loves a good road trip (especially if the beach or the mountains are involved), running (half marathons are a favored distance), and reading or listening to books (biographies and historical fiction, with a mix of self-improvement thrown in). In this life she is learning that there’s almost nothing in life that can’t be tackled after taking some deep breaths, dipping your toes in the sand, and having people around you who make you laugh until you can’t breath, on repeat. She would love to chat and learn with you about all things Yoga and Ayurveda, share a laugh and a book recommendation, and find ways to plant seeds of joy.
Judith Milano
After seeing my husband and sister-in-law take care of their ailing mother, it opened my eyes to make sure that my daughters do not experience what my husband and sister-in-law had to endure. To be a parent taking care of your aging parents, attending to your young children, and working leads to stress, burn out and eventually becomes physically and mentally unbearable. I ultimately decided to truly take care of myself even though I was already in great health and fortunately with no risk of any life threatening diseases nor having to take any prescription medication. I joined a gym and only after a month of religiously taking yoga, it was there where my yoga instructor had approached me and said I should think about becoming an instructor.
I never thought yoga would become my path, but for some reason I took a leap of faith and jumped in the next day. And now here I am three years later as an RYT 500 yoga instructor fully immersed in becoming a Yoga Therapist and wanting to help others who would like to find that balance .. mentally, physically and maybe even spiritually.
If you are searching for an alternative to find balance between all your responsibilities or would just like to start moving your body that doesn’t have to be an extreme exercise routine, then let’s work together to find a plan that creates inner peace and works for you and your needs.
Tanner Speer
Hi! My name is Tanner and I am currently a Yoga Therapist Trainee. I began my yoga journey a decade ago, when I attended my very first yoga class with my mom! From the moment I first stepped onto my yoga mat, it felt as though I was coming home. Flash-forward to 2020 and I finally found myself enrolled in my very first 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training. Upon completing my 200hr certification I immediately began teaching, as well as working on my 300 hr Yoga Teacher Training. I have since earned my E-RYT 200, and RYT 500 designations through Yoga Alliance, and have become certified in practices including Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Long Slow Deep, Yoga Nidra, and Mindfulness Meditation, as well as becoming a Reiki Master Practitioner.
