Reiki Trainings
Reiki is a Japanese healing practice that supports deep relaxation, stress reduction, and holistic healing. The practice is offered through gentle, non-invasive touch or with the hands hovering just above the body, allowing universal life force energy to flow where it is needed most.
This life force energy is understood to be the vital current that sustains physical health, emotional balance, mental clarity, and overall well-being. When this energy is depleted, we may experience stress, fatigue, or illness. When it flows freely, we are more resilient, centered, and capable of living with greater vitality and ease.
Our Reiki trainings offer a structured, experiential pathway to learn this powerful healing modality for personal growth, professional practice, and conscious living.
Prerequisites
We believe it is essential to personally experience Reiki in order to truly understand the practice and offer it responsibly to others. For this reason, we highly recommend attending a private Reiki session, class, or event where Reiki is offered prior to beginning your training. Be The Change Yoga is proud to offer each of these options to support a rich, embodied, and rewarding learning experience.
To enroll in Reiki Level II, you must hold a Reiki Level I certification.
To enroll in Reiki Level III, you must hold a Reiki Level II certification.
All Reiki Level trainings must have been completed in person with a qualified Reiki Master Teacher. We respectfully do not accept online, mail-order, DVD-based, or distance-only Reiki trainings as valid prerequisites for enrollment.

Level 1 Reiki Training
This one-day introductory training is among the most thorough and comprehensive Reiki Level 1 offerings available. The course integrates both the traditional Japanese teachings as passed down by Dr. Usui and the Western style introduced by Mrs. Takata, offering a well-rounded and authentic foundation.
In Level 1, you will be introduced to the principles and practice of Reiki, with a focus on opening the physical body to receive and channel universal life force energy. Through the First Degree Reiki attunement, the vibratory rate of the body’s energy centers and the hands is elevated, allowing the Reiki channel to open and stabilize.
Once attuned, Reiki remains with you for life. After completing this training, you will be able to confidently channel Reiki energy for self-healing and for supporting the healing of others.

Level 2 Reiki Training
This one-day Level 2 training expands your relationship with Reiki and marks a quantum leap in your ability to access and direct Reiki energy. In this course, you will learn how to perform Reiki at a distance, as well as how to work with Reiki to support the release of unwanted habits and the manifestation of meaningful goals.
Second Degree Reiki places greater emphasis on the emotional and mental energy bodies, in contrast to Level 1’s primary focus on the physical body. You will be introduced to the Reiki symbols and learn how to draw, activate, and apply them in healing sessions. Their practical uses, energetic effects, and deeper meanings will be explored in depth.
You will also learn how to incorporate a Reiki pendulum into a healing session. Ample practice time is provided so students can experientially understand how each symbol feels, how it works, and the results it produces.
Completion of Reiki Level 1 is a prerequisite for this course.

Level 3 Reiki Training
Level 3 deepens your Reiki practice through the introduction of additional symbols, enriching your understanding and experience of this powerful healing modality. This level serves as an important stepping stone toward Reiki Master training in Level 4.
In this course, you will receive the Reiki Master symbol, expanding your awareness of universal life force energy and opening you more fully to its continuous flow. This attunement supports a deeper connection to Reiki and a more refined ability to channel healing energy.
You will also learn how to work with Reiki to support the healing of past wounds, allowing the practice to extend beyond the present moment and into deeper layers of personal transformation.
Completion of Reiki Levels 1 and 2 is required prior to enrollment.

Level 4 Reiki Training
This is the highest level of Reiki training, offering the fullest amplification of your ability to access and channel Reiki energy. Through this advanced attunement, your connection to universal life force energy is expanded to its highest potential.
In this level, you will learn how to perform Reiki attunements for others who wish to access and utilize Reiki in their own lives and practices. This training is designed for those who feel called to work with Reiki at the highest level, both as a dedicated practitioner and as a Reiki Master.
Completion of Reiki Levels 1, 2, and 3 is required prior to enrollment.

About Karen
A yogi practitioner for 30 years and a teacher for 10, Karen Duganier believes we all contain an innate ability to heal. Pursuing her passion in energy work and as a natural complement to her yoga practice, Karen became a Certified Reiki Master trained in the Usui tradition with an additional Karuna® Reiki Master Certification. Using an intuitive approach ushering the client’s energy toward its own natural state of healing and ease, Karen often blends the use stones and essential oils into her healing sessions. Holding space for each individual, Karen approaches every session with compassion and strives toward making her on table technique unique and meaningful for your life that day, guiding the body toward balance and peace.
