Gilbert Naungayan has been the president of Underground Yoga in Huntington Beach, Ca since 2012 and has been the ambassador of the brand since its early days. As a 200 E-RYT and 300 RYT Yoga Alliance registered teacher, he has completed 200 hour teacher trainings with Core Power Yoga and all 500 hours with Noah Maze. Currently he is furthering his education in an apprenticeship/certification with Noah. Gilbert has been physically active his whole life, growing up playing baseball, basketball, skateboarding, snowboarding and surfing. It wasn’t until he was 25 when he was introduced to yoga. Months later he was given his foundational learnings to begin to teach vinyasa yoga classes. He then found a love for the precision of alignment in disciplined yoga like Hatha, Iyengar, and Ashtanga. In 2013, he started to study under his teacher Noah Maze who then empowered him to intelligently combine all of his favorite yoga styles and his jovial personality for a lively upbeat class. Gilbert now teaches a strong yet accessible class fusing together a multitude of alignment techniques, drawing from Iyengar with Hatha and vinyasa yoga influences. Using his ability to relate the body to things the non-anatomy major can understand and be stern with direction while remaining lighthearted, he facilitates a playful yet educational expansive experience.

- Public Yoga Classes: 4000+ hours of Teaching
- Private Yoga classes: for youth training for Junior Olympics, youth with auto immune disorders like transverse myelitis, adults whom are over stressed, adults with scoliosis, and adults to better/strengthen yoga practice
- Workshops: Detailed workshops and postural intensives specifically for understanding the movements in the Sun Salutations, Inversions, back bends, arm balances, pose improvement, partner yoga and Acro yoga
- Trainings: Recently certified under Yoga Alliance through Underground Yoga as a registered yoga school. Led a private 200hour yoga teacher training single handedly. Helped with trainings with other yoga teacher training schools.
