10/25 Yoga Fundamentals with Adi

October 25 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
$50

Yoga Fundamentals with Adi

Move with Understanding.

Two Sunday workshops to slow down, ask questions, and learn what a regular class rarely has time to teach.

Some of the most valuable parts of a yoga practice are the details: where your weight lands, how the spine stays long, when the hips should square and when they should stay open. In a regular class, there is rarely time to stop and look closely.

In this two-part series, Adi Pollack slows the practice down. The first workshop builds a strong foundation in alignment. The second takes those same principles into arm balances, one manageable step at a time. Come to one, or join us for both.

Each Two-Hour Workshop Includes

→

Guided preparation and a whole-body warm-up

→

Detailed instruction, demonstrations, and time for your questions

→

Individual feedback, with optional hands-on adjustments offered only with your consent

→

A closing practice and Savasana to let it all settle in

The Workshops

Two Sundays. One Foundation.

Workshop 1

Yoga Fundamentals + Alignment

Yoga Fundamentals + Alignment Sunday October 25, 2026 · 12:00 to 2:00 PM PT · In-Studio

Explore the details of foundational poses with time to really understand them. We will look at alignment, weight distribution, spinal length, joint positioning, breath, and the relationship between stability and mobility, and you will learn to choose props and modifications that support your own body.

Who it is for: beginners who want a strong foundation, and experienced students ready to refine their alignment and deepen their body awareness.

You Will Learn

→

How to create a stable foundation through the feet, hands, and legs

→

Where to place your weight to avoid unnecessary pressure on the joints

→

How to lengthen and support the spine while keeping its natural curves

→

When to square the hips, and when a pose asks for a more open pelvis

→

How to recognize the difference between productive effort and strain

Workshop 2

Arm Balance Foundations + Progressions

Arm Balance Foundations + Progressions Sunday December 13, 2026 · 12:00 to 2:00 PM PT · In-Studio

Arm balances become more accessible when you understand the preparation and mechanics behind them. Starting with Crow Pose, and exploring Side Crow and Flying Pigeon as the group is ready, we will build the strength, mobility, coordination, and confidence to progress safely. The focus is never on forcing the final pose; it is on finding your next step.

Who it is for: all levels. No previous arm-balance experience is needed, and every pose includes preparatory work, supported variations, and progressive options.

You Will Learn

→

How to prepare the wrists, shoulders, upper back, core, and hips

→

How to place the hands and press through the floor to create a stable base

→

How to shift your weight forward with control instead of jumping

→

How core engagement, gaze, breath, and managing fear affect balance

→

How to enter and exit arm balances safely, with blocks and step-by-step progressions

Suggested props: two blocks, a blanket, a yoga strap, and space near a wall.
