Join Maggie Hsu for an evening of strength and flexibility as she prepares you to take flight in your practice. This class will provide a sequence of warm-up and cool-down exercises to safely prepare for handstands, foundational tips on improving proprioception (our awareness of where our body is in space) when moving upside down, and education on pelvic floor and transverse abdominis engagement. This workshop is perfect for curious beginners starting to try out challenging postures and experienced practitioners looking to strengthen the foundations of their inversion practices.

Maggie Hsu has trained in Power Vinyasa, Hot Yoga, and is currently enrolled in BTC’s 300 hr training and 850 hr Yoga Therapy program. Maggie was first introduced to Yoga philosophy and its history while studying at USC and has continued to take an interest in studying the knowledge imparted down from ancient civilizations.
In her flow-based classes, Maggie incorporates breath-work with mindful focus on muscle engagement and safe alignment. Students can expect to be challenged in a playful way through the physical expressions of inversions and arm balances. By conditioning our bodies through play, Maggie believes we allow our minds an opportunity to let down its guard —allowing us to access the joyful spirit that resides within.
