In this workshop we will be discussing; safe movement for someone with osteopenia or osteoporosis, how bones are built, reading a dexa scan and doing the 12 yoga poses that have been used to show that yoga helps build bone density. Learn how to increase the effectiveness of your yoga practice for your bone health. It is a super informative and fun workshop that will leave you feeling empowered. This workshop is suitable for anyone with osteoporosis, osteopenia or someone looking to be proactive. No yoga experience is necessary.

Gain an understanding of bone loss and learn the use of dynamic tension to help increase bone strength. This workshop will benefit anyone interested in improving bone strength including those with osteopenia and osteoporosis.

The workshop will include:
- Safe ranges of motion for someone with bone loss
- The physiology of bone building
- Understanding a DEXA scan reading
- Learning 12 yoga poses that have been shown in the Yoga vs. Osteoporosis study to help increase bone strength
No yoga experience is required however a general familiarity is helpful.
