By the end of our 4 weeks together, you’ll leave with more confidence in how you move, clarity about your bone health, and a personalized toolkit of practices you can continue at home.
Each Week, We’ll Focus On:
Week One:
- Moving within a safe range of motion
- Understanding your DEXA scan score
- Pillars to an effective yoga practice
Week Two:
- Yoga therapy tools to support bone health
Week Three:
- Practical strategies to prevent falls and fractures
- Strengthening stability and balance
Week Four:
- How hormones influence bone health throughout life

Susan Kjesbo, C-IAYT
Susan’s teaching is centered around therapeutics, restorative, yoga for seniors, meditation and hatha yoga. Teaching allows here to share what she has come to love and has made a part of her life. Trained at the Ananda School for Yoga and Meditation, she has an alignment base style but also one that encompasses the whole individual meeting him/her where they are in the moment. She is a certified yoga therapist, C-IAYT. Her meditation techniques are from the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda.
Susan has participated in an international yoga study that is indicating that yoga can improve bone strength for someone who has osteoporosis or osteopenia. This is an area of interest for her and she has lead workshops and classes on bone health and yoga in southern California. Susan is a member of Yoga Alliance and the International Association of Yoga Therapy. She has been trained in hatha, meditation, restoratives, yoga for seniors, in the Fishman method yoga for osteoporosis, chair yoga, and yoga tune-up ball.
