4/12 & 4/13 Asana Foundations for Yoga Therapy
April 12 @ 12:30 pm - April 13 @ 6:30 pm
$250
Course Overview
Learn to adapt asana safely and effectively for every body.
Join us for a transformative 12-hour weekend intensive led by Yoga Therapist Allison Prince, designed specifically for yoga teachers looking to deepen their understanding of therapeutic asana.
Whether you’ve trained in Vinyasa, Hatha, Iyengar, or another tradition, this course serves as a bridge between lineages — offering a shared language and functional approach to the body that supports safe and sustainable practice.
As a core module in our 300-hour Yoga Therapy Teacher Training, this foundational intensive will shape the lens through which all future courses are taught.
What You’ll Learn:
- The five categories of asana: standing poses, forward bends, backbends, twists, and inversions
- How to modify each category for common health conditions and structural limitations
- Alignment principles rooted in functional anatomy
- Assessment techniques to observe and support students safely
- How to meet each student where they are — with clarity, compassion, and confidence
This weekend is ideal for yoga teachers who want to offer more personalized, impactful guidance in their classes or private sessions. Gain tools you can use immediately to enhance your teaching and support your students on a deeper level.
