Join our 6-week course, where you’ll learn valuable MegaTherapeutic Yoga skills that can help you cultivate new habits for improved health. In addition to our focus on Yoga, each class will also incorporate Yoga postures, breathwork, meditation, and positive mindset that you will seamlessly integrate into your own bedtime routine.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced practitioner, this all-levels class is designed to accommodate students of all ages and abilities. We believe that everyone can benefit from these gentle practices, and we’re excited to create a welcoming safe space where you can explore and enhance your sleep journey.

Week 1 – Real Relaxation, Sleep and Yoga Relaxation – Meet, greet, and gain an overall view of Yoga concepts and practice. The first class will include an introduction to basic Yoga postures, breathing, meditation and relaxation experience.
Week 2 – Sleep and Yoga Relaxation – Group discussion about the Western view of sleep, coupled with Yoga concepts, and a practical relaxation experience, including Yoga postures, breathing and meditation.
Week 3 – Four-Fold Relaxation Technique Part 1: “Letting Down” – Group discussion about “letting down” and a practical relaxation experience, including Yoga postures, breathing and meditation.
Week 4 – Four-Fold Relaxation Technique Part 2: “Giving Up” – Group discussion about Yoga concepts for “giving up” and a practical relaxation experience, including Yoga postures, breathing and meditation.
Week 5 – Four-Fold Relaxation Technique Part 3: “Giving In” – Group discussion about Yoga concepts for “giving in” and a practical relaxation experience, including Yoga postures, breathing and meditation.
Week 6 – Four-Fold Relaxation Technique Part 4: “Giving Over” – Opening discussion of Yoga concepts for “giving over” and a practical relaxation experience, including Yoga postures, breathing and meditation.
Megan McCarver, M.A., C-IAYT, IYA
Megan McCarver, M.A., C-IAYT, IYA, specializes in wholesome lifestyle plans (Yoga Therapy) to increase mindfulness which reduces stress, especially with clients addressing mental health, neurological imbalances, and bolstering healthy aging (including fall prevention and coping mechanisms during major life transitions). She is honored to serve as Practicum Director and lead Faculty at AlcheMe Yoga Therapy, BTC Yoga in Irvine, California. She has her master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Studies and over 1,308 hours of formal yoga and meditation training. Megan teaches yoga and sees private clients online or in their houses. She leads an annual weekend Redwood Yoga Retreat every Fall. During her earlier career, she had a “Megassage” business for 12 years, co-founded Santa Monica Yoga, created iVillage Print-and-Go-Yoga, and co-led two yoga retreats in Southern India. Megan’s faith in the greater good, how to benefit others, and loving-kindness is palpable and contagious.
