For yoga teachers, this 11.75-hour weekend is led by Yoga Therapist Cheri Dostal Ryba. It provides the foundations that the yoga therapist – client relationship is the basis, the very core, of all yoga therapy treatment approaches regardless of the specific aim. It introduces the fundamentals of the very first process between yoga therapist and client that the yoga therapist is entering into a relationship with the client that essentially is safe, confidential, reliable, and consistent with appropriate and clear boundaries. The principles of a therapeutic yoga therapist-client relationship have specific goals and functions that will be discussed and analyzed through case studies and group discussion.

Cheri Dostal Ryba, Franklin Method Movement Educator and Yoga Therapist, has been teaching movement for 20 years, full time since 2007. She started practicing Yoga as a student in a B.A. Dance degree program, and began teaching and studying Yoga more formally in 2007.
Studying and teaching about the human body and brain is her lifelong passion. Anatomy is often at the core of her lessons, giving students what she playfully calls ‘x-ray vision’. She blends yoga, dance, Franklin Method, and fitness education to address your goals.
Cheri offers one on one private sessions to adults. As a yoga therapist, she’s helped people with chronic pain, sacroiliac joint and back injuries, stroke survivor, mental health/anxiety, TMJ and neck issues, digestive health, pelvic pain and incontinence.
