10/20 Lifestyle Medicine: Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda & Public Health Course

October 20 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
$28

Course Overview

Lifestyle Medicine:
Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda + Public Health.

Yoga therapy is lifestyle medicine. Yoga therapists are the health promotion specialists of the 21st century.

Chronic disease is largely a disease of how we live. Sleep, stress, food, movement, breath, connection, purpose — these are the levers that determine long-term health, and they are precisely the territory yoga has been mapping for thousands of years.

This year-long monthly course places the yogic tradition beside modern public health and lifestyle medicine, and shows you how to work in both languages at once. You will study Ayurveda as a system of preventative care, learn to think in terms of root cause rather than symptom, and understand where yoga therapy fits inside the wider landscape of healthcare.

Woven throughout is the foundation of therapeutic relationship: how to hold a professional container, how to establish trust and appropriate boundaries, and how to sit with someone's health story with genuine skill rather than good intentions alone.

This Course Emphasizes

Yoga therapy as preventative, root-cause, whole-person care

Ayurveda as a living system of lifestyle medicine

A public health lens on prevention, access, and population wellbeing

The principles of therapeutic relationship, ethics, and professional boundaries

Where yoga therapy belongs in the future of integrative healthcare
