Sound Bath + Restorative Yoga
Slow down, breathe deep and be restored. This is a rejuvinating workshop experienced that is not to be missed. Sound Healer Jody Thiessen will be playing the gongs, singing bowls, and chimes while Yoga Therapist, Allison Prince guides you through a restorative Yoga practice is a practice to calm the mind and the nervous system; reducing stress and promoting a sense of ease.
All of the postures are practiced on the floor, supported with blankets and/or blocks. Postures are held for longer periods of time to release tension in the body and mind. Research has shown that this practice is beneficial in reducing insomnia, anxiety and depression.
Please bring your own mat, blankets, two blocks.
All donations are deductible and support our non-profit the AlcheMē Natural Health Institute.

Allison graduated from AlcheMe Yoga Therapy Training and specializes in working with clients experiencing endocrine disorders and fertility issues. Allison has been teaching yoga since 2013 and has taught over 12,000 hours of yoga. She has been leading yoga teacher trainings since 2010 specializing in teaching anatomy, physiology and sequencing. She has trained and certified over 150 200-hour Yoga Alliance registered teachers and accumulated over 2100 hours of leading teacher trainings. She co-founded Be The Change Yoga, a therapeutic yoga studio and has been leading the sequencing course for 3 years; which focuses on offer safe modifications for students of all levels and health backgrounds. Allison is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Functional Nutrition.
Jody Post Theissen is a Sound Immersion Specialist. Her practice is designed to promote peace and wellbeing by weaving together intentional sound. Her tools include Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, gongs, flutes, drums, mantra and more. Her passion began as a young child as she studied music and was drawn to the expanding field of sound creation. Her love of all things sound combined with years of yogic spiritual practices have culminated into being a sought after presenter in this emerging field of sound, mind and body. She has presented all over the Southland including the World Class Bower’s Museum, Chapman University, CSU Fullerton, RSCC, numerous yoga studios, churches and more.
