2/22 Improving Your Balance (4-Week Series)

February 22 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

$100

Workshop Overview

Let’s Improve our Balance!

Our Balance is important at any age. It helps us navigate our path ahead. We can make a difference in our overall balance by challenging and practicing our balance.

Did you know that 1 out of 5 falls cause a serious injury. Broken bones certainly slow us down and practicing our balance is important when we have bone loss. Falls are also the most common cause of traumatic brain injury (TBI). Falls are preventable and do not have to be an inevitable part of aging.

Yoga improves our balance by:
• creating greater awareness
• increasing our strength, flexibility and agility
• challenging our balance which is necessary to maintain good balance

In this fun 4 week series we will be:
• focusing on feet, ankles, knees and hips
• playing with yoga poses in new and different ways to challenge our balance
• strengthening important muscles used for balance
• layering on distractions

This is an ALL levels class. You are never too young or old to work on your balance. Join Susan Kjesbo, C-IAYT in starting off the year on the right foot!
