BEING THE CHANGE 5.0 WORKSHOP
Who Am I Choosing To Be As A Daily Experience?
Join us for a very special community workshop on Saturday, May 22nd 1:00 PM PST with Share Necessities Founder, Arjuna O’Neal and BTC Co-Founder, Katie Allen. A donation-based workshop with all proceeds going to Share Necessities.
This workshop is co-led by Arjuna O’Neal. Arjuna was born and raised on the east side of Detroit, Michigan with two siblings and just his mother to care for them. His surroundings were governed by violence, drugs and gangs, which negatively influenced his perspective on life. At the age of 19, he was shot in his femoral artery, leaving him with the experience of death first-hand. After being paralyzed from the waist down for a year, he went into depression from his endless self blame and shame. But he was always reminded by his supportive mother that life could still change for the better but only if he changed his story. Moving forward -he spent the next 10 years working on how to develop a genuine self-love relationship and approach to the trauma.
Arjuna now holds a Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA), and a deep passion for spreading awareness about conscious parenting and the urgency for conscious youth development. In addition to raising his own children, Arjuna runs his nonprofit that focuses on empowering today’s youth to understand the importance of leading a balanced, loving and mindful lifestyle. His latest achievement is his new business called Mind Elevation, which focuses on helping people rewrite the traumas and painful experiences in life that keep them stuck for living in their full potential and highest vibration.
This workshop is co-led by Katie Allen. She co-founded Be The Change Yoga and is the School Director for the 300-hour Teacher Training Program and 850-hour Yoga Therapist Training. She received her Master’s degree in Public Health from Tulane University and wrote her thesis on Yoga’s Ability to Prevent and Treat Chronic Diseases.
Since then, her mission is to use her public health lens as a means of advancing the field of Yoga Therapy. She develops yoga therapy program for hospitals, health systems and founded AlcheMe Yoga Therapy, a professional yoga therapy organization consisting of education, research, program implementation and job creation.
