This training is essential for yoga teachers and yoga therapy trainees looking to develop a clear and accurate understanding of the energetic body (pranamaya kosha) and how to skillfully apply pranayama techniques to support healing and balance.
You’ll explore a wide range of breathing techniques — from foundational to advanced — while learning how to assess, sequence, and adapt pranayama practices for individual needs and specific health conditions.

Juris Zinbergs, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500
Juris Zinbergs initiated his Yoga study in 1993 and is now a well-known Yoga instructor in his local Yoga community. In 1997, he was certified by Gary Kraftsow of the American Viniyoga Institute to teach asana, pranayama, and chanting in the same yoga tradition of his own teacher, TKV Desikachar. Juris has also completed AVI’s three year training course in the application of yoga as a process for managing acute and chronic conditions. As a faculty assistant for AVI, he helps with training and developing teachers in this authentic Viniyoga tradition. He shares these living teachings of T Krishnamacharya, emphasizing appropriately placed, accurate, and pragmatically integrated yoga techniques to help one achieve their fullest potential.
Juris Zinbergs is recognized by the International Association of Yoga Therapists, as a (C-IAYT) Yoga Therapist. He is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) with Yoga Alliance. He has served as Faculty for the Viniyoga Therapist Training, (2010-2012), Faculty for Viniyoga Foundations Program, (2011-2015), Faculty for Foundations for Yoga Therapy Training, (2011-2012), and Faculty Assistant for AVI Teacher Training and Yoga Therapy Training (2008-2015).
