11/5 & 11/6 Proprioception and Use of Ethical Touch
November 10 @ 12:30 pm - 6:30 pm
$225Course Overview
The intention of this 12-hour weekend intensive is to provide additional tools yoga teachers and yoga therapist trainees can use to assess and support their clients. We will discuss ethics and consent, hand placement and quality of touch, longevity and safety for the Yoga Therapist as related to transference and body mechanics, and how clear verbal and visual cues can provide a similar result without using touch when it may be contraindicated. Touch can help improve musculoskeletal imbalances, breath awareness, proprioception and provide security and connection, and our sense of touch provides us with essential information for enhancing kinesthetic learning.
